Jim Philp is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the fields of science and technology policy and biotechnology. Currently serving as a Science and Technology Policy Analyst at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) since March 2011, Jim previously held roles as a Lab Scientist Specialist in Industrial Biotechnology at Saudi Aramco from November 2006 to February 2011, and as a Reader in Environmental and Industrial Biotechnology at Edinburgh Napier University from January 1992 to November 2006. Prior experience also includes a position as a Laboratory Scientist at Saudi Aramco from September 1987 to December 1991. Jim holds a PhD in Bio-corrosion for the Nuclear Industry and an MSc in Water Management from Edinburgh Napier University, as well as a BSc in Microbiology from The University of Edinburgh.
