Laura Smith currently serves as a Junior Policy Analyst at the OECD, focusing on the Senegal Water Policy Dialogue within the Water Team of the Environment Directorate since March 2024. Previously, Laura completed an internship in the same team, contributing to discussions on water reuse and financing water initiatives. As a Visiting International Research Student at the University of British Columbia, Laura worked with the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions on a project aimed at enhancing collaboration among local governments in response to sea level rise, culminating in a Regional MoU Agreement set to be implemented in June 2024. Additional experience includes serving as a House Parent and Activities Leader at St Edmund's College Summer School. Laura is pursuing a Master of Science in Urban Environmental Management at Wageningen University & Research and has an academic background that includes a BA Honours in Liberal Arts & Sciences with a focus on Environmental Policy from University College Maastricht, along with a semester exchange at Amsterdam University College.
