Marco Marchese

Marco Marchese is a Policy Analyst at the OECD since September 2021, previously serving as a Technical Specialist at the International Labour Organization on secondment from the OECD from June 2020 to September 2021. From May 2007 to May 2020, Marco worked at the OECD as an Economist/Policy Analyst, focusing on managing country reviews of SME and entrepreneurship policy. Prior experience includes roles as an Industrial Development Consultant at UNIDO in early 2007 and as a Consultant on local development at the ILO from July 2005 to December 2006. Marco holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, a visiting scholar designation in Social Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Laurea in Sociology and Economics from Sapienza Università di Roma.
