Nora Lustig is an accomplished economist with extensive experience in global development and academic roles. Currently serving as the Vice Chairman of the Board at the Global Development Network since 2014 and a member of the High-Level Expert Group on the Measurement of Economic Performance and Social Progress at OECD - OCDE since September 2013, Lustig holds a position as the Samuel Z. Stone Professor of Latin American Economics at Tulane University and a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Center for Global Development and the Inter-American Dialogue. Previously, Lustig directed the Poverty Group at UNDP and held leadership roles at Universidad de las Américas and The Brookings Institution. With a Ph.D. and a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, Lustig has contributed significantly to the fields of economics and international affairs.
