Randall Jones

Head, Japan/korea Desk

Randall Jones has extensive experience in international economics, currently serving as the Head of the Japan/Korea Desk at the OECD since December 2002. Prior roles at the OECD include heading the Korea/Slovak Republic Desk and the Korea Desk, as well as serving as an economist on the Japan/Ireland Desk and a structural policies coordinator. Earlier in his career, Randall worked as an international economist at the U.S. Department of State and held positions such as Vice President and Senior Economist at the Japan Economic Institute and Staff Economist for International Trade at the Council of Economic Advisors in the White House. Randall holds a PhD in Economics and a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Michigan, along with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Brigham Young University.
