Richard Bates

Consultant

Richard Bates is an experienced consultant specializing in consumer protection and the digital economy. Currently serving as a consultant at the OECD since August 2017, Richard supports research and analysis on topics such as personalized pricing and the Internet of Things. Prior to this role, Richard worked as an independent consultant, and as Head of Digital Initiatives at Consumers International, where responsibilities included managing policy issues related to personal data and cross-border e-commerce.
