Setsuko Saya

Setsuko Saya is an expert in urban development and disaster risk reduction, specializing in infrastructure policies in developing and emerging economies. They began their career in 1995 with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in Japan, and have over 20 years of experience across various governmental and international organizations, including USAID and the OECD. Currently serving as the Vice President for International Business at the Urban Renaissance Agency, Setsuko develops infrastructure strategies that enhance urban resilience and public well-being. Their notable publications and extensive network in policy dialogue emphasize their significant contributions to sustainable urban development. Setsuko holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA from the University of Tokyo.
