Simone Romano

Simone Romano is an experienced economist and academic with a diverse professional background. As an intern at Limes, Rivista Italiana di Geopolitica, Simone developed skills in proof-reading, research, and article publishing. Simone holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Università degli Studi Roma Tre, where also worked as a research assistant collaborating on economic research. Positions include serving as an Economist and Advisor to the Chief Economist at OECD, as well as an advisor at the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers focusing on G7/G20 economic policy. As an Associate Research Fellow at IAI, Simone led research in International Political Economy, and in various roles at the OECD, Simone has engaged in high-level policy advising and economic analysis. Additionally, experience as a Visiting Professor at Freie Universität Berlin and postdoctoral researcher further emphasizes expertise in economics and teaching. Educational qualifications include multiple master’s and a bachelor’s from prestigious institutions, exemplifying a strong academic foundation in economics and political science.
