Soohyun Kim

Health Policy Analyst

Soohyun Kim is an experienced health policy analyst at OECD - OCDE, focusing on employment, labor, social affairs, and skills development since December 2021. Prior to this role, Soohyun served as a postdoctoral research scientist at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, specializing in social determinants of cognitive aging, and as a research assistant at Columbia School of Social Work, addressing issues related to paid family leave and elder care. Additional experience includes consultancy work with UNESCO on the 2020 Global Education Monitoring Report and a research fellowship at the Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare, monitoring international social protection policies. Soohyun's research background also includes work at the Korean Women’s Development Institute, examining women’s caregiving roles and childcare education of migrant workers. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Social Work from Columbia University, as well as a master's and bachelor's degree in Social Welfare and Psychology from Seoul National University, respectively.
