Carmen Hernandez serves as the Online Safety Policy Manager at Ofcom, where they focus on developing policies to protect individuals from online harms. Previously, Carmen completed Ofcom’s Policy Research and Enforcement graduate scheme, gaining experience in Spectrum, Broadcasting, and Enforcement. Before joining Ofcom, Carmen worked at the Ministry of Justice after graduating from the University of Birmingham with a First-Class Honours degree in History in 2020. Additionally, Carmen has volunteered at The Hospice of St Francis and served as a student mentor during their time at university.
