Ian Macrae

Ian Macrae is a telecoms policy, strategy, and market intelligence professional with extensive experience in the field. They began their career as the Editor of Express Sport Live at Express Newspapers from 1999 to 2000, leading a team to deliver multi-media sports content. Since 2017, they have held the position of Director of Market Intelligence at Ofcom, after serving as Consumer Policy Director from 2016 to 2017. Previously, they were a Strategy Manager at 3 UK from 2001 to 2007. Ian completed a BA in History at the University of Nottingham and an MBA with Distinction from Kingston University, while also pursuing a PhD in History at the University of Cambridge.
