James Mackley is currently the Director of Financial Analytics at Ofcom, the UK’s communication regulator, where they lead a team providing economic and financial analysis to tackle complex policy challenges. Previously, James held various roles at Ofcom, including Head of Economic and Financial Modelling and Associate Economist. They also served as a Teaching Fellow at Swansea University while completing a PhD in Financial Economics. James began their academic career as a Tutor in Economics and Econometrics at Aberystwyth University.
