Jonathan Porter

Jonathan Porter is currently a Senior Economic Adviser at Ofcom, a position held since 2013. They previously served as an Assistant Director of Economics on secondment at the Competition and Markets Authority in 2019-2020 and have held roles such as Regulatory Economist at ntl (now Virgin Media) from 1998 to 2002 and Economic Adviser at OFTEL from 1995 to 1998. Jonathan also worked as a Senior Economic Assistant at HM Treasury from 1990 to 1994 and was the Head of Economic Regulation & Competition at the Independent Television Commission from 2002 to 2003. Jonathan holds an educational background from the University of Cambridge, where they studied from 1985 to 1988.
