Jonathan Ruff

Principal, Technology Policy at Ofcom

Jonathan Ruff has extensive experience in the field of technology policy and regulatory affairs. Jonathan currently holds the position of Principal, Technology Policy at Ofcom since March 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Regulatory Affairs Manager at Ofcom from October 2022 to March 2023. Before rejoining Ofcom, Jonathan worked at The Scottish Government as the Head of Digital Strategy & Policy from April 2021 to November 2022. In their earlier tenure at Ofcom, they held various roles including Regulatory Affairs Manager from July 2016 to April 2021, Senior Consumer Affairs Manager from May 2014 to July 2016, and Consumer Affairs Manager from January 2012 to April 2014. Jonathan began their career as a Graduate Trainee at Ofcom in September 2009, where they worked until September 2011.

Jonathan Ruff attended Strathclyde Law School from 2003 to 2008 and obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Hons) degree. In 2013, they obtained the APMP Fastrack Qualification from the Association for Project Management.
