Niamh Cashell

Niamh Cashell currently serves as the Academic Engagement Coordinator for Online Safety at Ofcom since September 2024 and is a Doctoral Researcher at The University of Manchester, where qualitative thematic analysis of political advertisements and statistical modelling using R have been key responsibilities. Previously, Niamh held various roles including Research Associate for the British Election Study, Editor for Political Perspectives, and Graduate Teaching Assistant. Niamh's internship at BBC focused on generative AI and elections, supported by an ESRC grant, while experience also includes project coordination at Wheatley Group and work as a Universal Credit Case Manager at DWP. Niamh's education includes a BA in Social Science, Politics from The University of Manchester and a Master’s degree in Political Communication from the University of Glasgow.
