Derek Chiang

Derek Chiang is a technology entrepreneur known for founding and leading innovative companies in the blockchain space. Currently serving as Founder and Director of ZeroDev at Offchain Labs since July 2025, Derek previously held the position of Founder and CEO at ZeroDev, which became a leading smart account solution for EVM blockchains before its acquisition by Offchain Labs. Prior to these roles, Derek co-founded Eternal, where contributions supported content creators in monetizing digital collectibles, and founded Binary Mint, a blockchain lab focused on advancing crypto technologies. Additional experience includes important roles at Thunder Token, DFINITY, and Pachyderm, Inc., where significant contributions were made in software engineering and product development. Derek's educational background includes a degree from Cornell University, complemented by foundational studies at Shenzhen Middle School and Longcheng Middle School.
