OFFICE 24|7 ARCHITECTURE, established in 2002, specialises in adaptive reuse, reparative and narrative-driven architecture across exhibition, residential, educational, and cultural projects. We work across scales and typologies and actively engage in cross-disciplinary collaboration, using narrative as a framework to develop projects that expand imagination and foster engagement. The practice has been recognized with numerous awards for its contributions including a South African Institute of Architects Award of Merit.

We critically and spatially re-imagines education, museum, heritage and cultural projects.  Ours is a practice of praxis, we have skills to enact and realise conceptual, theoretical and abstract ideas into spatial and material form. Innovative ideas act as driving forces that continue to inform the project from the scale of urban and cultural frameworks to the design at its most detailed level.

The practice has  unique curatorial and design skills in combining spatial understanding with new ways of interpretation. We approach museum, exhibition, cultural, and heritage projects with critical spatial analysis. Our expertise lies in integrating diverse and complex intersectional elements into a unified spatial narrative that is imaginative and meaningful. We strive to engage new audiences by adopting evolving formats and thoughtful methods of presenting content that encourages discovery and wonder at multiple scales. We collaborate with artists, writers, educators, researchers, filmmakers, sound engineers, audiovisual specialists, and graphic designers.

We have participated in more than 40 museum and exhibition projects, working with institutions including Constitution Hill, the Nelson Mandela Foundation, The Cradle of Humankind, and the Origins Centre at the University of the Witwatersrand.
