Michael Volz has extensive experience in IT support and engineering spanning over a decade. Michael started as a sales associate at RadioShack in 2007 before moving on to Best Buy as a Mobile Sales Associate. In 2013, they joined Great Lakes Credit Union as a Help Desk Specialist and later became a Help Desk Technician. In 2016, Michael joined Cardinal Health as a System Analyst and was responsible for building laptops for large-scale rollouts and maintaining a ticket queue while repairing laptops. In 2018, they moved on to Impact Networking, LLC, where they held several positions, including Senior Help Desk Analyst, IT Support Engineer, and IT System Engineer, responsible for Linux server management and cloud hosting platform selection. Michael is currently working as a Sr. NOC Engineer at OFFSITE, LLC. Michael's portfolio includes expertise in scripting, architecture, testing, implementation, and vendor management.
Michael Volz obtained their Associate of Science degree in Animation, Interactive Technology, Video Graphics, and Special Effects from Tribeca Flashpoint College in 2010. Michael then pursued a CE in Computer Programming & Networking from DeVry University from 2012 to 2015. Recently, from 2017 to 2020, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in IT with a specialization in Network Operations and Security from Western Governors University. Along with their degrees, they have also earned several certifications, including CompTIA A+ ce Certification in November 2016, Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) in February 2018, CompTIA Network+ ce Certification in April 2018, CompTIA Security+ ce Certification in June 2018, Certified Meraki Networking Associate in September 2018, CompTIA Linux+ (Powered by LPI) Certification in March 2019, and LPIC-1: Linux Administrator in March 2019. Michael also obtained their Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) certificate in June 2019.
