Jim Keravala has held a variety of roles in the space industry since 2011. Jim has been a Committee Member for the AIAA Space Resources Technical Committee and the AIAA Space Colonization Committee since 2011 and 2014 respectively. Jim was a Board Member for the International Astronautical Federation from 2011 to 2014 and a Member of the Transport Research Board Subcommittee on Commercial Space Transportation from 2014 to 2016. Jim was also a Board of Advisors for the Lifeboat Foundation from 2012 to 2016. In 2016, they became the Chief Executive Officer & Chief Architect, Chairman of the Board for OffWorld. In 2018, they became a Board Member for the International Moonbase Alliance. In 2020, they became a Board Member for the Moon Village Association and a Member of The Hague Space Resources Governance Working Group.
Jim Keravala's education history includes a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering from City, University of London (1988-1991), a Space Systems program from RWTH Aachen University (1991), a Physics & Mathematics program from University of London (1992-1996), a Space Studies program from International Space University (1997), a Spacecraft Engineering & Satellite Communications program from University of Surrey (1998-2000), a Scaling Ventures program from Harvard University (2019), and an Artificial Intelligence Strategy program from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2019). Jim also holds certifications as an Academician from the International Academy of Astronautics (2010), a Senior Member from AIAA (2007), a Fellow from the British Interplanetary Society (1999), and a Member from the International Institute of Space Law (1996).
