Head Of Enforcement Policy And Prevention at Ofgem

Amy Humphrey has a diverse range of work experience in the energy and environmental sectors. Amy began their career in 2009 at Ofgem, where they held various roles over the years. This includes being the Head of Enforcement Policy and Prevention, where they are currently responsible for overseeing Ofgem's external stakeholder engagement on environmental programs and consumer affairs.

Amy also served as the Head of Stakeholders, overseeing a team of 50+ and developing strategies for engaging stakeholders on new schemes and major amendments. Prior to that, they were the Head of Operations, leading a team of up to 40 staff working on renewable energy schemes.

Amy also held the position of Senior Manager - Fuelling and Sustainability, responsible for administering government renewable energy schemes with a focus on sustainably sourced biomass and waste. Additionally, they have experience as the Manager of Biomass Sustainability, where they implemented sustainability requirements into the Renewables Obligation scheme.

Amy also gained experience outside of Ofgem with a secondment to the Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), where they served as a Policy Advisor. In this role, they played a key role in reviewing the energy delivery landscape and analyzing options for improving scheme delivery.

Amy Humphrey's education began in 2004 when they attended the University of Exeter to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Geography. Amy completed their undergraduate studies in 2007. Following this, they furthered their education at the same university and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Sustainable Development and Environmental Change in 2008.
