Andrew Milligan

Andrew Milligan currently serves as Deputy Director at Ofgem since September 2022. Prior to this role, Andrew held various positions at SSE plc from July 2017 to November 2022, including Lead Pricing Strategy and Policy, where responsibilities encompassed economic modeling, tariff setting, and competitor intelligence. Andrew also led the governance of commercial decision-making processes and was the commercial pricing lead for interactions with Ofgem and the CMA. Earlier positions at BG included Head of Trade Insights, Planning and Optimisation, where Andrew managed extensive planning processes across multiple products and channels, and roles focused on sales planning, reward schemes, data management, and coaching. Andrew holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from The University of Edinburgh, a BSc Hons in Chemistry from the University of St. Andrews, and has academic experience from the University of Oxford.
