Ben P. has held various roles in the energy industry over the years. Ben started their career in 2009 at National Grid as a Foundation Engineer, where they gained hands-on experience in substations and overhead lines. Ben then progressed to become an Investment Delivery Engineer, leading a team in concept development and project delivery. In 2013, they joined Iberdrola Engineering and Construction as a Project Manager, overseeing various projects. Ben then moved to Scottish and Southern Energy in 2014 as a Technical Standards Engineer, focusing on revising and creating specifications for the SHE Transmission business. In 2016, they took on the role of Investment Planning Engineer at SSE plc, where they specialized in developing investment strategies and plans. Ben later became an NIA Project Manager, working on non-load investment projects and process improvement analysis. Finally, in 2018, Ben joined Ofgem as an Electrical Engineer.

Ben P. attended the University of Strathclyde from 2005 to 2009, where they pursued a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and obtained an Honours qualification. Following this, they studied at Aston University from 2009 to 2011, earning a Foundation degree in Power systems.
