Bev Williams has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Bev began their career in 1997 as a Design Assistant at SOUTH WALES ARGUS LIMITED, and later worked as a Digital Image Assistant. In 2002, they joined the Office for National Statistics as a Data Entry Officer, and gradually moved up to become a Graphic Designer. During their time at the Office for National Statistics, Bev helped build the design team and implemented a design workflow system. Bev also served as a Communication Executive, Events Executive, and Administrative Officer.
In 2012, Bev joined Melin Homes as a Graphic Designer, where they worked on several projects, including a resident newsletter and an award-winning annual report. Following this, they worked as a Graphic Designer at the BBC, creating artwork for the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and other print materials. As a Freelancer, Bev took on various design projects for companies both locally and internationally, adhering to each company's brand guidelines.
Bev's next role was as a Managing Senior Designer at the Intellectual Property Office, where they led a team of four creatives and worked on design briefs for internal and external use. Their team successfully went through a rebranding process, which resulted in winning an award. Bev then became the Head of Studio and Creative Engagement at the same company, leading a team of creative business partners and workflow. Bev set the creative strategic direction and ensured projects were delivered as promised.
Currently, Bev works as the Lead Creative and Content Producer at Ofgem, a position they started in 2022.
Bev Williams' education history begins in 1989 when they attended Fairwater High School. There, they obtained their GCSE's and A Level's, focusing specifically on GCSE's. After completing their secondary education, they enrolled at the University of Wales, Newport in 1996, where they earned a Diploma in Foundation Art the following year.
Moving forward, Bev attended Coleg Gwent from 1998 to 2000, where they pursued a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Graphic Communication. Continuing their education, they joined the University of Wales Institute Cardiff from 2000 to 2002, completing a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors (BA Hons) in Graphic Communication.
Lastly, Bev pursued their Master of Arts (MA) degree in Animation at the University of Wales, Newport, starting in 2010 and graduating in 2014.
