Bruno Palermo's work experience includes various roles in different companies. Bruno began their career in 2008 as a Vocational Education and Training (VET) at Sistemas y Proyectos de Sistemas Solares Sl, where they supervised construction sites and improved data accuracy in the company database. Bruno then worked as a Sales Engineer and Project Manager at Energés Gestión Medioambiental SL, where they managed marketing and business relations for a large-scale plant. From 2009 to 2012, they were an Energy Solutions Engineer at Solarenergia Srl, designing and installing solar systems. Subsequently, they worked as an Environmental Educator at Agrolife Sl., developing communication plans for schoolchildren and organizing visits to organic gardens. In 2013, they were a Business Development professional at Prismaluz Sl., responsible for communication planning and client portfolio implementation. Bruno then worked as a waiter at Fratelli sarti from 2015 to 2016. In 2017, they volunteered at The Wise Group's "Zero Waste Scotland" program before joining Ofgem as an Assistant Manager. In this role, they assisted with renewable energy scheme administration and engaged in non-compliance cases and audits. Bruno later became a Policy Manager, overseeing industry codes and licensing. Currently, Palermo works as a Project Support Officer at Ofgem, where they establish and maintains project controls and prepares project performance reports.

Bruno Palermo has a strong educational background and a variety of certifications. Bruno obtained a Master's Degree in MSc Wind Energy Systems from the University of Strathclyde, starting in 2014 and completing it in 2015. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2008, they attended Università della Calabria, where they earned an Engineer's Degree in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering.

Aside from their formal degrees, Bruno has also obtained several certifications. In October 2022, they completed PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner Certification Training offered by AXELOS Global Best Practice. In April 2017, they became an associate member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA). Bruno also holds a Disclosure Scotland certification obtained in March 2017. Additionally, they achieved an English Language Certificate from IELTS Official in November 2014. In terms of occupational certifications, Bruno has earned an Occupational Risk Prevention Certificate from The National Order of Engineers (Italy) in December 2011 and a Building Energy Certification in November 2009 from the same institution. Bruno also holds a DELE - Spanish Language Certificate from Università della Calabria in Cosenza, obtained in May 2004.
