Christopher McDermott

Christopher McDermott has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Christopher started their career at YMCA of Greater Seattle as an Assistant Director of Environmental Education from May 2010 to February 2012. In 2013, they worked as an Assistant Centre Manager at Château Beaumont for eight months. Christopher then joined Ofgem in 2014 as a Graduate Analyst, and later progressed to the role of Economist in March 2016. In October 2017, they were promoted to the position of Senior Economist, and their tenure with Ofgem lasted until April 2022. Currently, they hold the role of Head of Price Cap Delivery at Ofgem, starting in March 2022.

Christopher McDermott completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Energy Regulation at the Florence School of Regulation in 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Energy and the Environment from the University of Stirling from 2013 to 2014. Their undergraduate studies include a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biological Sciences from Queen's University Belfast, which they completed from 2007 to 2010. Additionally, they have an unspecified educational experience at the Florence school of regulation.
