David Ashbourne

David Ashbourne is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as Senior Legal Director at Ofgem, David has been with TAQA Group as Senior Legal Counsel (Regulatory) since May 2021. Prior to this role, David held several positions at Ofgem from 2004 to May 2021, including Legal Partner for Smarter Grids and Governance and Legal Advisor to the Gas Electricity Markets Authority. Earlier in David's career, significant roles included Senior Counsel at Transco from 1994 to 2002 and Senior Counsel at BG Group from 1997 to 1999.
