Eamonn Ward has extensive work experience in program and project management roles. Eamonn is currently working as a Program Delivery Manager at Ofgem since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Fujitsu UK for over two decades. At Fujitsu, they held various roles including Program Manager for a new Digital Airfield Data Network at Gatwick Airport, Program Manager for major digital transformation deals across different sectors, Program Manager for a business change program for a Central Government Office, Program Manager for Whitbread's Premier Inn room booking service transition, Program Manager for a Global IT Transformation Program in the manufacturing sector, and Portfolio Manager for Fujitsu's Internal IT & Property Program. Before joining Fujitsu, they worked at British Gas as an Area Operations Manager and Senior Project Manager, where they were responsible for IT network services and the delivery of remote metering capability for industrial and commercial gas consumers.

Eamonn Ward attended The Manchester Metropolitan University from 1983 to 1986, where they studied engineering. Eamonn then furthered their education by obtaining a Chartered Electrical Engineer degree from the Institute of Engineering and Technology MIET, starting in 1994. Eamonn's field of study during this period was in electrical engineering. Additionally, in January 2013, they completed the PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner Certification Training from APM Group.
