Emilie Cox

Emilie Cox has a diverse work experience in the field of communications. Emilie is currently working as a Strategic Communications Lead at Ofgem since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the Department for International Trade (DIT) from September 2019 to September 2022, first as a Deputy Head of Brexit Communication (Strategy) and then as Deputy Head of Strategic Communication.

From 2017 to 2019, Emilie held roles at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), including Senior Manager Internal Communications and Insight Manager (Communications). Before that, they worked at the Department of Energy and Climate Change as a Campaigns Officer and Press Officer from 2014 to 2017.

Their earlier work experience includes roles such as a Media and Communications Officer at Ealing Council from 2012 to 2014, a Senior Communications Officer at Viridian Housing from 2011 to 2012, and various roles at the Australian Catholic University from 2009 to 2011, including Events Coordinator and Marketing and Communications Coordinator.

Emilie Cox's education history begins in 2003 when they attended Bishop Druitt College. From 2003 to 2005, they completed their Higher School Certificate at this institution. Following that, Emilie enrolled at The University of Queensland in 2006 and obtained their Bachelor of Communications degree in Mass Communication and Communication & Culture in 2008.
