Gary Carlton

Gary Carlton has a diverse work experience in procurement and purchasing. Gary is currently working at Ofgem as a Senior Procurement Business Partner since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Scotland Excel as a Procurement Coordinator and Assistant Procurement Specialist from May 2018 to January 2020. Gary also worked as a Procurement Data Specialist at Scotland Excel from January 2018 to May 2018. In the past, Gary worked at Northern Marine as a Purchasing Officer from April 2016 to January 2018, where they oversaw purchasing for various vessels globally and led the Purchasing Innovations Committee. Gary also worked at East Renfrewshire Council as a Purchasing Support from October 2015 to April 2016, where they sourced goods and services using framework agreements and electronic ordering systems. Before that, they worked at Howden as a Global Supply Chain Administrator from September 2013 to September 2015, managing supplier implementations and analyzing company spend.

Gary Carlton completed their education history with a Diploma in CIPS (level 4) from City of Glasgow College in 2016-2017. Prior to that, they obtained a B.A (Hons) in Commercial Music from the University of the West of Scotland during the period of 2008-2012. Furthermore, they attended Hillpark Secondary School from 1999 to 2005, where they completed their highers. Additionally, Gary Carlton obtained a certification in Agile Project Management in the Public Sector from NobleProg in May 2023.
