Kristian Marr

Head Of Future System Operation at Ofgem

Kristian Marr has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and organizations. In 2011, they started as a Policy Analyst at Ofgem and later became an Economist/Analyst, Senior Economist, and Senior Manager. In November 2019, they became the Interim Head of European Wholesale Markets before returning to the role of Senior Manager. Currently, Kristian is the Head of Future System Operation at Ofgem, a position they have held since March 2021.

Alongside their work at Ofgem, they were also a Youth Advisory Panel Member at the Department of Energy and Climate Change from April 2011 to September 2012. As a panel member, they facilitated communication between the government and young individuals regarding energy and climate change issues.

Additionally, in June 2011, Kristian worked as a Research Intern at Aviation Economics, gaining valuable experience in the field.

Kristian Marr's education history begins in 2006 when they enrolled in The University of Sheffield for a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography. Kristian completed this program in 2009. Following their undergraduate studies, Kristian pursued further education at The University of Sheffield, where they joined the Polar and Alpine Change MSc program in 2009 and completed it in 2010.
