Lee McCafferty

Lee McCafferty has extensive work experience in various roles related to governance, assurance, and quality management in the energy sector.

Starting in 2006, McCafferty worked at British Energy as a Pensions Analyst. In this role, they performed audits on the pension scheme, reconciled schedules, negotiated budgets and fees, produced forecast reports, and led a team of pension analysts.

In 2008, McCafferty joined SCOTTISH POWER (IBERDROLA Renovables) as a Quality Assurance Systems Manager. They implemented ISO:9001 management systems for windfarm construction and operation, maintained certification of the integrated management system, and drove operational excellence across the organization. They also served as a Technical Reporting & Quality Analyst, analyzing pipeline projects and performing audits on reporting and operational processes.

From 2015 to 2020, McCafferty worked at SSE plc in multiple roles. As the Head of Assurance (Metering), they were responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of metering operations. They also served as the Head of Metering & Smart Transformation Assurance, overseeing the transformation and assurance of smart metering initiatives.

In 2020, McCafferty joined OVO as the Head of Governance & Assurance - Metering. They were responsible for ensuring governance and assurance of metering operations.

Currently, McCafferty is working at Ofgem as the Head of Data Governance, where they are responsible for overseeing data governance practices within the organization.

Lee McCafferty attended the University of the West of Scotland from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management and Information Management.
