Matthew Cleator is a Clean Energy Analyst at the B.C. Centre for Innovation and Clean Energy since May 2024 and has been serving as a Hydrogen Senior Strategy Advisor at Ofgem since June 2022. Prior experience includes roles as an Analyst at Ofgem and a Technical Process Safety Consultant at ERM: Environmental Resources Management from November 2020 to June 2022. Matthew also worked as a Subcontractor at FioGeo, a Renewables Intern at Energia, and a Research Coordinator at Fio Connect. Early career experience includes positions as an Assistant Duty Manager at 24 Royal Terrace Hotel & RT’s bar and a Fiscal Officer at the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service. Additionally, Matthew contributed as a Co-consultant at EnviroCentre. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering with Energy from Heriot-Watt University, attained between 2015 and 2020, following education at George Heriot's School and Dunbar Grammar School.
