Michael Watson

Michael Watson is an accomplished financial professional with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as Chief Financial Advisor - Deputy Director at Ofgem since October 2009, Michael leads the Regulatory Finance team and champions the Financial Advisory sub-profession. Previously, Michael held various roles at Ofgem, including Head of Regulatory Finance Operations and Interim Chief Financial Advisor, focusing on regulatory aspects of network companies. Prior to Ofgem, Michael served in HM Forces and held a position in management accounting from 2006 to 2009. Michael’s educational background includes attending The Grove School in Hastings from 1979 to 1984.
