Robert Laid

Robert Laid is currently the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer at Ofgem, a position they have held since 2025. Prior to this role, Robert was the Head of Cyber Governance Risk and Compliance at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office from 2023 to 2025 and served as Head of Service Design and Assurance at the Government Legal Department in 2022. Robert's extensive experience also includes roles as Head of Information Assurance and Special Projects at HMPO (2010-2013), Principal Inspector Cyber and Information Security at the Office for Nuclear Regulation (2013-2016), and Senior Audit Manager at the Government Internal Audit Agency (2017-2022).
