Sam Eversden currently serves as the Head of Media at Ofgem since August 2023. Previously, Eversden was the Head of Communications at the Russell Group of Universities from April 2020 to August 2023. Eversden's career in media began at the Home Office, where roles included Senior Media Officer and Media Officer from January 2009 to December 2013. Prior experience also includes positions at the Department for Education, including Head of Media and Digital, Chief Media Officer, and Senior Media Officer from January 2014 to April 2020, as well as News Editor at South London Press from May 2006 to December 2008. Eversden holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Psychology from the University of Southampton, earned from 1997 to 2000.
