Nathan Francis

Nathan Francis is an accomplished economist currently serving as Deputy Chief Economist at Ofwat since 2025. They previously held the position of Principal Economist at Ofcom, managing economic analysis for various high-profile projects, and worked at NATS from 2000 to 2007 as Manager of Regulation and Business Planning, where they played a key role in establishing new financial arrangements post-9/11. Earlier in their career, Nathan worked as a Consultant at NERA Economic Consulting, advising on economic policy and specializing in the electricity and gas industries. Nathan earned their degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Oxford and completed an MSc in Economics at the University of Warwick.
