Scott Briggs is the current Vice President of Human Resources at OG&E. Scott has held this position since October of 2018. Prior to their current role, Scott served as the Chief Operating Officer at The Oklahoman Media Company from January 2003 to October 2018. In this role, they were responsible for leadership and oversight of Human Resources, Finance, IS/IT, Security and Facilities functions of the largest media company in Oklahoma. Scott also served as in-house counsel and was a member of the Leadership Team, Digital Strategy Team, and Editorial Board.

From January 2001 to December 2003, Scott was the Chief Operating Officer/Legal Director at Total Compliance Connection L.L.C., a regional human resources consulting, support, and compliance company.

Scott began their career as an attorney at McAfee & Taft from January 1998 to December 2001 where they advised corporations, municipalities, and other business entities in the areas of labor and employment law, including compliance with anti-discrimination, wage and hour, and all other federal and state statutes and regulations affecting the employer-employee relationship. Scott also defended private and public employers in federal and state court litigation.

Scott Briggs has a Doctor of Law from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in Legal Studies. Scott also has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma in Business Administration and Management. Scott is certified as an Achieve Global Facilitator from ACHIEVE GLOBAL LIMITED.

Scott Briggs reports to Sean Trauschke, Chairman, President & CEO . Scott Briggs works with Andrea Dennis - VP, Transmission & Distribution Operations, Matthew Schuermann - VP, Power Supply Operations, and Christine O. Woodworth - VP, Marketing & Communications.
