George Mathai

George Mathai is a Gas Turbine Generation Engineer at Oglethorpe Power Corporation since April 2019, specializing in technical support and maintenance planning for simple cycle gas turbine power plants. Prior to this role, George had a 15-year tenure at GE Power, progressing through various positions from Gas Turbine Field Performance Engineer to Account Manager, where responsibilities included managing sales accounts, conducting performance analysis, and fostering customer relationships in the Southeast USA. George’s engineering career is supported by a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
