John Speed

John Speed is an experienced environmental professional specializing in air quality. Currently serving as an Environmental Specialist at Oglethorpe Power Corporation since November 2023, John previously held the position of Air Quality Engineering Consultant II at ERM: Environmental Resources Management from July 2021 to November 2023. Additionally, John worked as an Associate Air Quality Engineer with the S.C. Department of Health & Environmental Control from March 2018 to July 2021 and gained research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Koros Research Group at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2015. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, earned between 2012 and 2017, and a High School Diploma from Porter-Gaud School, completed in 2012.
