The Oil and Gas Recovery for Indonesia (OGRINDO) research consortium was founded on May 6, 2004, by the Petroleum Engineering Study Program within the Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering (FTTM) at the Institute of Technology Bandung, formerly known as the Department of Petroleum Engineering-FIKTM. This initiative was driven by the university's research requirements and funding opportunities, aligning with the pressing needs of Indonesia's oil and gas sectors for rapid and effective solutions to field-related challenges.
