Julia Sand

Julia Sand is a Propulsion Engineer at OHB System AG since November 2018, specializing in monopropellant propulsion subsystems. Key responsibilities include subsystem architecture and procurement support for multiple satellites, development support for a phase AB1 satellite, hydraulic analysis, and LEOP support. Prior experience includes a Young Graduate Trainee role at the European Space Agency, focusing on the Orion European Service Module's propulsion subsystem, along with a Master’s thesis on rocket engine trade-off studies. Additional roles included system analysis of rocket engines at DLR, technical assistance in satellite propulsion at ArianeGroup, and cooperative education in structural health monitoring at Airbus Group Inc. Julia Sand holds a Master of Science from the University of Stuttgart and a Bachelor of Engineering from Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University.
