Barb Ewing is currently an advisor at OhioX. Barb has over 25 years of experience in community and economic development.
Barb began their career as the Director of Economic Development for Congressman Tim Ryan in January 2003. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the annual appropriations process and resulted in over $300 million in federal funding returning to the district.
Barb was also involved in individual projects like the investment of V&M Steel in Youngstown/Girard and the redevelopment of the former Ravenna Army Ammunition Arsenal in Portage County. In addition, they spearhead local community efforts to protect the Youngstown Air Reserve Station from closing during the last round of Base Realignment and Closure Commission hearings.
In January 1995, they became the Vice President of Public Policy for the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber where they served until December 2003.
