Michael Schwerdt

Michael Schwerdt is an experienced operations and maintenance professional with a diverse background in agricultural development and biofuels. Currently serving as Site Operations Manager and previously as Engineering & Maintenance Manager at Ohly since June 2015, Michael has also held significant roles at Bunge EMEA, including Maintenance & Reliability Manager and Projektingenieur (Freelancer). Before that, Michael was the Director at NEED West Africa Ltd., focusing on sustainable agricultural projects in Ghana. Additionally, leadership experience includes serving as Geschäftsführer at NEED Fuel Supply GmbH, overseeing biofuel supply and a fuel card network, and as Servicemanager at NEED AG, where technical upgrades for vegetable oil-powered vehicles were managed. Michael holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Fachhochschule Kiel and further specialized training as a Pumpenfachingenieur and certified energy consultant for pumps and systems from Technische Universität Graz.
