OhmIQ is a U.S.-based technology licensing company developing patented ohmic heating solutions for manufacturers across buildings, food and beverage, and commercial equipment.

Most heating systems work by transferring heat from a surface to a liquid. That's slow, inefficient, and causes mineral scaling that degrades performance over time. OhmIQ's technology works differently. It passes electrical current directly through the liquid itself, converting energy into heat at the point of use.

The result: faster time to temperature, precision control adjusting up to 60 times per second, zero scaling, and significantly lower energy consumption.

We hold a portfolio of 156+ patents, some dating back to 2006, and license our Ohmic Array Technology (OAT) to companies making water heaters, coffee machines, steam systems, building heating equipment, and more.

Our product lines include ThermIQ (supplemental electric heating for buildings), InstIQ (compact tankless heating for beverage equipment), SteamIQ (on-demand commercial steam), and AquatIQ (point-of-use hot water).
