Peter Schwarz

Peter Schwarz is a Non-Executive Director at Oilex. Prior to this, they were the General Manager at Marubeni Oil & Gas (UK) Limited from January 2000 to December 2005. Peter has also held the positions of Manager, Business Development at EnCore Oil Plc from August 2007 to January 2012, CEO at Virgo Oil & Gas Plc from January 2005 to December 2007, and Director, Strategy and Technical Audit Group at BG Group Plc from January 1989 to December 1999.

Mr. Schwarz began their career in 1978 as an Area Exploration Supervisor with Cities Service Europe - Africa Corporation. Peter then moved on to Amerada Hess Limited in 1981 where they rose to the position of Area Exploration Manager, Central North Sea. In 1986 they became Exploration Manager with Amerada Hess Norge A/S and returned to Amerada Hess Limited in 1987 as Deputy Exploration Manager. Mr. Schwarz joined BG Group Plc in 1989 as Director, Strategy and Technical Audit Group, a position they held for ten years until 1999.

Peter Schwarz has a Masters of Science in Petroleum Geology from Imperial College London and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from University College London.
