Our family-owned company is full of rich history. Started in 1973 in Oklahoma by brothers John and Jim Linton, it now includes three generations of the same family. Jim and John Linton have been highly respected in the drill bit business for well over four decades. We serve drillers of all kinds word-wide. Everyone in the mining business, water well drilling field, geothermal drilling, directional drilling, oil and gas drilling know they can count on the years of knowledge, expertise and true personal customer service to find the exact bits they need for whatever job is in front of them. O-K Bit has two locations but ships all over the world.

Jim’s son John Linton Jr (named after his uncle John) and his brother Jim Linton Jr (named after his dad) carry on this mantel of excellent quality and personal service. John Jr’s sons both work for O-K Bit now, as well. They each take seriously their family name and company’s reputation for excellence in new and used bits and the customer service that has come to be expected from O-K Bit.

In fact, we are the world’s largest retailer of used bits. Up until this point, we have never advertised—but built our business by word of mouth.
