Robert Wright

Robert Wright is an accomplished executive with over 43 years of experience in engineering, operations, and program management. Currently serving as Chief Data Centre Officer for both Okens Domains and Ilkari, Robert is dedicated to protecting data sovereignty across customer journeys and data centre operations. Notable previous roles include Global Head of Data Centres at The Workshop, where responsibility included overseeing the delivery and certification of the Bogota data centre, and Chief Technology Officer at Open Access Data Centres, where Robert played a pivotal role in establishing a Pan-African data centre business and securing significant investment. Additional experience includes serving as Chief Technical Officer and Technical Director at AfricasCloud, contributing to the launch of a Pan African Cloud and data centre initiative. Education includes studies at The Open University and Haling Manor High School.
