Amrit Patel

Amrit Patel is a Regulatory Engineer at Oklo Inc since April 2022 and also serves as a Consulting Engineer at NUMARK Associates, Inc. starting June 2021. Previously, Amrit taught high school science at Lincoln School Kathmandu from June 2019 to June 2020, focusing on computer science and establishing a makerspace. From March 2009 to June 2019, Amrit worked as a Nuclear Engineer at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, where responsibilities included reviewing license amendment requests and conducting technical assessments in criticality safety and neutron/gamma fluence methods. Earlier experience includes a brief internship in BWR core design and analysis at Southern Company in May 2006. Amrit holds a Secondary School Teaching Certificate in Mathematics and Computer Science from TEACH-NOW Graduate School of Education and both a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Florida.
