Jonathan Cocks

Jonathan Cocks is a seasoned machine learning engineer and data scientist with extensive experience across various industries, including logistics, e-commerce, aviation, and finance. Currently serving as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Okta since April 2024, Jonathan previously held positions as a Staff Data Scientist/ML Engineer at Flexport and Shopify, where notable projects included developing an AI-powered chatbot and a custom recommendation system for warehouse inventory management, respectively. Jonathan’s career began in quantitative research at ZBI Quant and Ziff Brothers Investments, and encompasses leadership roles in data science and engineering, with a strong focus on developing data products and predictive analytics. Jonathan holds an MBA from the University of Southern Queensland and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mathematics from QUT.
