Karthik Bhat is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in identity security and cloud solutions. Currently serving as Director of Engineering for Identity Security at Okta, Karthik leads teams focused on leveraging AI/ML to address security threats. Previous roles include Track Manager for Security and Privacy at TiE and VP of Platforms and Ecosystem at Virtru, where Karthik oversaw the development of key products for data protection. Karthik co-founded SecureDB Inc. as CEO, providing encryption services, and also served as Founder and CTO of GreyPencil, Inc., specializing in identity and access management solutions. Karthik began their career as a Senior Software Engineer and has held various technical and leadership roles across reputable companies such as Booz Allen Hamilton and ClearAvenue. Karthik holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Mysore.
